The members of public and the Kenyan Diaspora who have applied or in the process of applying for any of the above documents/ status in Kenya are notified that the Ministry of Interior and Cordination of National Government, which is the ministry responsible for issuance of the above documents/status has commited to fast track and clear backlog of citizenship and permanent residence applications within two months.
This excercise begins from 2nd June, 2021 to 31st July, 2021 and targets the following groups;
1. Kenya citizens who hold dual citizenship
2. Kenyans who had renounced or lost their Kenya Citizenship before promulgation of the new constitution
3. Spouses of Kenya citizens
4. Investors who have applied for Citizenship and Permanent Residence.
To apply for Kenya Citizenship or Permanent residence, applications are submitted online on
https://fns.immigration.go.ke and hard copies dropped at the Immigration Headquarters. Nairobi on the ground floor, Nyayo House or the nearest Kenyan Embassy for onward transmission to the headquarters, Nairobi. Citizenship applications can also be emailed directly to
